Emerald crispy Gulf of Mexico seawater, bright gold sun, blue clear sky, silver luminous moon, white cotton clouds were the perfect inspiration to create the customer’s own personal paradise.
The glamour of the fine 19th century chandelier juxtaposed with exposed wood beams and the harmonious collection of 19th century original handmade prints depicting reconstruction of old European monuments, are effortless paired with the soft linen white sofa, the organic bleached root teak coffee table and the leather area rug. A perfect mix of textures, colors and and styles.
The immense stone fireplace is framed by the customer's original art collection. A collection personally curated by the home owners that took many years to put together and filled the room with culture and soul. .
The family room is an expression of energy and comfort. When selecting the pieces for this area, special attention was given to create a space that provided comfort for everyday leaving and easy maintenance.
The leather sofa has the slipcover look but a zipper attaches the loose back cushions so you don’t have to “fluff” the sofa to maintaining a clean, crisp appearance.
An assemble of elements create the coffee table area; a sisal trunk that serves as storage for blankets, a custom built coffee table made out of exotic woods and blue agate, (a stone that brings calmness and is known as a talisman with great healing energies), and petrified wood stools that serve as additional seating.
Complementary layers were added with a Turkish Kilim red rug and big pieces of striking modern art.
Blue and red are the accent colors chosen. Blue, the color of the ocean and the sky, brings serenity, stability, inspiration, wisdom and health. Red promotes physical energy and symbolizes action, confidence, and courage. This stunning hue is part of the color spectrum in Clearwater beautiful sunsets. When the sun heads for the horizon a perfect symbiosis brings the sun’s energy into this room.
The bedrooms of the house were created with the goal to serve each individual's personality, to recharge and thrive in life.
For the master suite, we created an elegant and chic heaven with a sense of style that is conductive to rest and relaxation. We selected a specific color combination by mixing the quietness of a soothing neutral pallet with the sophistication and elegance of a pop of color provided by the 2 hand woven silk and wool rugs from India, and an original oil painting acquired in Paris 40 year ago. The lounge seating area invites you to linger and enjoy the breathtaking vista of the Golf of Mexico. Sinking into these chaises allows you to carve out restorative moments, to unwind, unplug and recharge.
For the second bedroom, we created a masculine mood by using wood, which energy is related to flexibility and human-heartedness, and promotes vitality, growth, and kindness.
For the third bedroom we added drops of blue, which is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. We incorporated green, the color of life, renewal, nature, and energy, and yellow that stands for freshness, happiness, positivity, clarity, energy, and optimism.
For the outdoors we built several square feet of covered outdoor living space, suitable for family enjoyment and friend’s entertainment.
We selected long lasting and low maintenance materials that can stand up to wind, rain, salt and sun in coastal areas. Concrete furniture provided a combination of strength and freedom of appearance. To achieve the rich look of a wood deck we selected tahoe ocre wood porcelain tiles that not only are durable, easy to maintain and clean, but also are environmental friendly.
We took advantage of the view to make daily eating al fesco feel like a gateway in their own backyard. The open dinning area was designed to comfortable seat up to 10 people.
